GE Microwave
During diagnostics, I tried using the unit to heat a cup of water. Immediately you can smell electrical burning. I found that the magnetron has shorted out. Also, the display control boards display is starting to flicker. The back of the display board is showing signs of overheating. PCB needs to be replaced along with the other parts.
GE Microwave
During diagnostics, found two separate issues.
19-year old unit.
1. Unit will not heat.
2. Turntable is not operating.
Found High-Voltage Diode was bad. All door switches tested good. Installed new diode and tested. Still no heat and turntable is not turning.
This is a PCB issue.
Samsung Microwave
During diagnostics, I noticed the door came open without any resistance. I found that the spring that is attached to the lever inside the door had come off.
I was able to secure the spring and retest. The unit is operating normally again.
Job completed.
Samsung DRYER
During diagnostics, I found that the heating element has shorted out.
I installed a new heating element and tested the unit. No further issues found.
Job completed.
GE DISHWASHER
Duirng diagnostics, I found the filter was completely clogged with mold. The customer was unaware that the filter needed to be cleaned. This can absolutely cause the intermittent “on” and “off” the unit is experiencing. I cleaned the filter assembly and check both spray arms.
I ran the unit through a cycle and found no further issues.

Kenmore Refrigerator
20-Year old unit with fridge compartment cooling issues. I found the freezer to be at 0 degrees and the refrigerator compartment to be at 39 degrees. Pulled the rear panel and found the condensor coils were clogged. Defrost, evap fan and blend door all tested good. I had cool air coming into the refrigerator side, but it was not cold enough. Found the “yoda” system was warm on the freezer side but not the refrigerator side. Low Freon and compressor is starting to go out. Customer is going to purchase another unit. Job completed.
GE Dryer
During diagnostics, found the dryer drum belt had broken.
I installed a new belt and tested the unit.
No further issues found.
Job completed.
Samsung Washer
During diagnostics, I found that the dampners were worn.
I installed new dampners and tested unit. I found no further issues.
Job completed.
Maytag Dryer
During diagnostics, I found that the unit would run, but not heat. Found the thermal fuse that’s mounted on the heating element has shorted out.
I installed a new thermal fuse and tested the unit. The unit is working normally again. I advised the customer to have the dryer vents cleaned as these thermal fuses blow due to excessive heat. She told me she did not know that was suppose to be done. I was going to check the flapper outside of the house, but the venting goes up through the roof.
Job competed.
Kenmore Washer
During diagnostics, I found the drain hose that comes from the pump was leaking where the hose connects to the pump. I was able remove the hose and reinstall with the original clamp.
Twste unit on two different cycles and found no further leaking.
Job completed.
Frigidaire Refrigerator
During diagnostics, I forced a defrost cycle and waited for the leak. I found the leak where the drain tube connects to the freezer section. The tube was loose and was allowing water to pass over the top of it and onto the floor. I was able to reattach the drain hose by securing it back in place and gluing it. No further issues found. Job completed
Lg Washer
During diagnostics, while running a “Quick” cycle, I was able to determine the cause of the noise is bearing failure.
Recommending replacement of the unit.
AHS is going to replace the unit due to cost of repair.
