Job completed. ,During diagnostics, The unit would run, but not heat. I removed the back panel and found the heating element and all thermostats and thermal fuses good.

Maytag Dryer
A service call was completed for a Maytag dryer that was reported as not turning on. The technician, Tim Briggs, performed a diagnostic which took 1 hour, followed by an additional hour of basic labor. The part used for the repair was WPL 3392519.

Whirlpool Washer
During diagnostics, I put the unit into cycle and heard a “humming” noise while the unit operated. I removed the motor and drain pump to inspect the motor/transmission coupler. Coupler as well as transmission is normal. However, when the unit runs for any length of time, the “humming” gets louder to the point the unit will stop spinning and just hum. You can also smell where the motor is getting very hot. Needs new motor drive.
