this WO was cancelled by the customer.

The technician assessed the Kenmore dryer, which was reported not starting. The circuit breaker was checked, and the dryer was unplugged for five minutes before being reconnected. The lint trap and exhaust tube were inspected to ensure they were not clogged. A basic repair was performed, utilizing two WPL 3392519 parts.

Repaired dryer control board and tested unit and everything tested out okay. Job complete

After installing the new PCB, I plugged the unit in and it began cooling. After about 1 minute, the compressor started making a rattling noise and it kicked off. The red light on the new PCB started blinking again. The code is start up failure again. Compressor has failed. I advised the customer to call Samsung since the unit is only 6-years old. It has a 10-year compressor warranty on it. This will be a refund. During testing, I found the compressor had no power going to it. I tested and found the inverter board has failed. The compressor windings tested good. The blinking red light in the board indicated a “no-start” on the compressor.

During inspection, I found the transmission to be leaking. The leak has compromised the electrical components underneath the unit (see attached pic). Also, all four dampeners are worn and need to be replaced.
