Installed new parts and tested units. No further issues found. During diagnostics, the dryer was confirmed to be producing heat. However, temperature verification revealed intermittent heating performance—the unit cycles between heating and going cold. Diagnosis: Faulty main control board (PCB). Recommendation: The unit qualifies for upgrade options. The customer was contacted, the findings and upgrade path were explained, and she confirmed she would proceed with the upgrade. This unit was put into replacement over a month ago. We had put it into replacement options. Somehow, it did not go through. I contacted AHS. Seems they dropped the ball on this particular work order. AHS is going to replace the unit. Job completed. technician replaced thermal fuse and advised customer of issue with the vent not being properly cleaned. I installed new inlet water valve assembly and tested the unit. I installed new parts and tested unit. I found no further issues. 4.6 out of 5 from 7 preserved local surveys. Mike was very knowledgeable and very professional. Excellent communication throughout the process. Timely repair completed, Mike is simply awesome and very knowledgeable and personable This was our first unfortunate experience with Called to Repair. I explained the problem last week, they gave me a Tuesday AM appt, and said that I would get a call or text Monday afternoon, and again Tuesday AM when the professional was on his way. I emphasized and reiterated 2 points: 1) Please come to our 130 address FIRST, where I would be waiting, so I could introduce them to our tenants in 128 ( a refugee family from Afghanistan, which I also explained). 2) Please use MY phone # 919-967-0862. And I told the Afghani family that I would give them a heads up. There was no call or text Monday afternoon. So I called your office Tuesday morning, and was told someone would be there between 10 AM and 1 PM, and I would get an advance notification. Again my phone # was confirmed. And then nothing...until Mike called my wife's phone, pulling her out of a meeting, and said he was done and was already leaving! And that "possibly the lightning-strike had something to do with it, but it was full of bugs and is not worth fixing." No further discussion! All in all, not a satisfying experience. Called to repair was great! Professional, efficient, on time and great communication. Thank you so much!!! Use them often.
