GE Dryer
Customer complaint: all of the electronics are dead unit will not do anything. Initial visit (Oct 29) — Mike S: Reported Concern The customer reported an issue with the laundry unit, specifically regarding a lack of control responsiveness on the dryer user interface. Assessment Diagnostic testing revealed that the dryer user interface was entirely unresponsive. Inspection behind the panel confirmed that the 9V reference signal from the main control board to the dryer UI was missing, indicating a faulty dryer PCB. Additionally, an inspection of the lower washer assembly showed an ongoing oil leak that has contaminated the drive belt, leading to belt slippage during operation. Next Steps Due to the cumulative cost required to repair both the washer oil leak and the dryer control board, the customer opted against repairs and decided to replace the combination unit with a stacked washer and dryer setup. No further repair work was performed.
