Customer complaint: Freezer is not working. Several month ago, after a power outage it did the same thing once the power came back on. It made a few funny noises, then after a day, started working again. 2 days ago I noticed a lot of frost inside, and now melted ice cream. Most items are still frozen, but beginning to thaw. Initial visit (Nov 5) — Tim B: Reported concern The customer reported that the refrigerator had stopped cooling, but operation resumed prior to the service visit. Intermittent cooling disruptions can cause fluctuating cabinet temperatures and compromise food preservation. Assessment An inspection of the rear mechanical compartment was performed to evaluate key cooling components. Both the condenser fan motor and the compressor were inspected and tested, and all checks were within normal operating parameters at the time of evaluation. Next steps Because the issue is intermittent and the unit is currently operating normally, continued monitoring of cabinet temperatures is recommended. If cooling fails again, further diagnostic testing should be conducted while the symptom is present to identify the root cause.
