Insignia Washer
Insignia Washer
Customer complaint: Washer is slow to fill. Thinks it may be how it was recently moved to her residence. The dryer is not heating as much as before. Takes multiple cycles to dry a load. 5934. Initial visit (Nov 5) — Mike S: Reported concern The customer reported that the washing machine was filling with water very slowly, extending cycle times and affecting overall performance. Assessment Inspection of the hot and cold water supply connections at the rear of the unit revealed that sediment had accumulated in both inlet valve filter screens, severely restricting water flow into the appliance. Work performed The hot and cold water supply lines were disconnected, and both inlet filters were removed and thoroughly cleaned of sediment. After reinstalling the filters and reconnecting the water lines, the washer was tested and confirmed to be operating normally with proper fill speed. Next steps Advised the customer to consider installing external inline water filters on the supply lines to help prevent future sediment accumulation from clogging the appliance's inlet valves. Outcome: Repaired.
Insignia Dryer
Customer complaint: Washer is slow to fill. Thinks it may be how it was recently moved to her residence. The dryer is not heating as much as before. Takes multiple cycles to dry a load. 5934. Initial visit (Nov 5) — Mike S: Reported concern The customer reported that the dryer runs but fails to reach the proper operating temperature. Assessment Inspection confirmed the unit is producing heat, but output is insufficient for normal drying cycles. Diagnostics revealed a dual-element heating assembly with one shorted section. Because only one side of the element is functioning, the heater cannot generate enough thermal energy to heat the drum to the set temperature. Next steps Replacing the failed heating element assembly is recommended to restore full heating performance. Verify part availability and order the compatible heating element prior to the return service visit.
