A diagnostic service lasting one hour was performed, along with an additional hour of basic labor. The technician, Tim Briggs, utilized part number L-G 5301EL1001H to address the issue. A follow-up installation for the booked part has been scheduled. Installed heating assembly and tested unit and everything tested out okay. Job complete, customer complaint is at the dryer would throw a d90 to the d80 error code. This is related to the thermistor in the dryer sensing that the dryer is getting too hot. Customer's dryer vent is obstructed and not blowing outside properly due to lint buildup. However, there is a possibility that the thermistor is either going bad, heating element shorting out or the high limit thermostat not regulating temperature properly. Due to the customer's warranty company, we are eliminating all possible causes for the customer by replacing all three additional parts. Customer is going to clean out the vent.

During my diagnosis I found the customers main control board shorted out and not sending power to the elements within that range. The main control board is no longer available and will have to go into Parts research with the customer's home warranty.
During my diagnosis of the customer's dishwasher I tested for the dishwasher to fill, wash, dispense, heat up and drain. All components worked properly. The dishwasher is old and may just be worn down and not doing a good enough job but all components are working as normal.
