During inspection, I found several issues with this unit. The unit is 27-years old. The transmission is leaking really bad. The timer will not work on several of the cycles. Also, the entire frame has severe rust from the unit leaking. Customer has decided to go with the upgrade option. I submitted the SA and talked with an agent. Job completed. During inspection, I noticed the unit would move when it got to “spin” cycle. I found the unit was unlevel and was moving from side to side, creating a squeaking noise. I re-levelled the unit and tested and found no further problems. Job completed. During diagnostics, I found that when the unit was plugged in, it would trip the breaker. I found oil leaking into the motor stator. I believe this to be the issue with the breaker. AHS has decided to replace the unit. During inspection, I found that the rear drum rollers have worn causing the “squealing” sound the customer was hearing. During diagnostics, I found that the heating element has shorted out. During inspection, I found the unit was making a growling sound and also a humming noise that was loud as the unit would spin. 4.9 out of 5 from 7 preserved local surveys. Very professional, courteous, diagnosed the issue and quick repair. Would recommend them with excellent service. Mike was super helpful when it came to repairing my machine, but also giving maintenance suggestions. When my machine malfunctioned within warranty period, Mike came back and happily repaired again free of charge. Very kind and informative on first visit but on second visit not sure what happened but not as informative. Hoping when I get home my stove is finally working. Thank you Mike for fixing our dishwasher. You did not only do a great job but though me as well on how to maintain and keep our appliance in good condition. I definitely will recommend your service. I remove the front cover and found a small transmission leak. Also, the transmission is not allowing the agitator in inner wash basket to spin independently. The brake in the transmission is work. The drive motor is very hot and humming loud due to it being worn and the transmission put an excess stress on the motor. This is a 27-year old unit and will be costly to fix if the parts are even available.
AHS verified some of the parts are not available. They are going to replace the unit.
